Media outlets have explained that the purpose of Short News is to help users stay informed by providing daily updates and video content. News reports and videos are updated throughout the day.
This feature is currently only available to a small group of Google TV users in the US. It will appear on the For You page on Google TV.
The experimental feature is not yet widely available, but this is expected to change soon.
