It is known that the new CEO received part of the payments in stock and another $5 million was a bonus at the end of the first month of work. Business Insider writes about this after reviewing the documents.
The package also included “additional” compensation (around $418,000), including fuel, on-board meals, flight crew salaries, and “other expenses” during the use of a corporate jet ($144,000).
Because of Nikkola
Starbucks also paid $6,300 in COBRA benefits, $48,700 in legal fees associated with negotiating the new director’s terms of employment, and $127.70 in costs to increase Nikkola’s security (higher because the state’s standard personal security options are already provided ).
“Chauffeur services were provided to Mr. Niccol at no additional cost and were performed by Starbucks employees as part of his protection against threats,” the company said in a statement.
