The number of small and medium -sized companies in Russia has reached 6.59 million, the Pyme Corporation Press Service informed RB.RU. In 2024, more than 1 million new legal persons and individual entrepreneurs were registered.

At the end of 2024, the average monthly income of microenterprises amounted to 1.7 billion rubles, small businesses, 0.6 billion rubles and medium enterprises, 0.2 billion rubles. At the same time, average income per company increased 11.2%, exceeding annual inflation.
The Minister of Economic Development, Maxim Reschetnikov, said that up to 2030 it is necessary to guarantee rapid growth of employee income of small and medium enterprises. To achieve this, it is planned to increase support to SMEs. According to the presidential decree, the growth of an employee of an SME should be 1.2 times greater than the growth of GDP.
In the first place, attention will be paid to the manufacturing industry, hospitality and information technology, as well as small technological companies, said Alexander Isaevich, general director of the SME Corporation.
According to the organization, in the third quarter of 2024, almost 29.5 million people worked in the SME sector, which represents 39% of the total active population.
On December 10, the SME number in Russia was 6.56 million, 4% more than in December 2023, when there were 6.31 million.
