Russian electric scooter rental service Whoosh has sold its business in Europe. Lauri Truve, CEO of Estonian kicksharing service Prime, became the new owner. The parties did not disclose the amount of the transaction.

Russian kicksharing service Whoosh sold European businesses

The company sold 2,500 scooters in Portugal and another 2,000 in other countries. Lauri Truve will have the right to use the brand, Vedomosti reported.

Whoosh plans to further develop in Russia and the CIS. The company intends to continue to shape the driving culture among citizens and help ensure that scooters gain legal status as soon as possible.

Finam analyst Leonid Delitsyn estimated the service's assets at €4.5 million to €10 million, depending on whether Whoosh managed to win over a customer base.

Kicksharing service Whoosh announced plans to enter the European market last November. Portugal became the first country of presence, in total it was planned to develop the service in 7 countries. Whoosh intended to invest $20 million in expansion.
