“The patriarch emphasized, on the one hand, the role of artificial intelligence in the development of new technologies, the possibilities of the person who opens, but at the same time dangers that can also arise,” said the deputy, speaking at the meeting Plenary of the XIII Christmas parliamentary meetings.
According to Volodin, the dangers in the development of artificial intelligence can only be avoided if “the State takes control of artificial intelligence.” The president of the State, Duma, said that the deputies “constantly remember” the proposals of the Russian Orthodox Church when considering legislative initiatives.
Previously, Patriarch Kirill announced the need to put the sphere of artificial intelligence under “very strict state control” so as not to “crumble the following possible danger that can destroy human life and human civilization.”
According to the head of the Russian Orthodox Church, the development of artificial intelligence creates the risk of loss of intellectual and creative human skills. “Scripture says that at the end of human civilization an antichrist will come, a person who will be <...> To resist everything God brought to the life of human civilization.<...> It is not known what the role of artificial intelligence can be in the approach to this apocalyptic image, ”warned the patriarch.
He also urged to consider the regulation of dipfacios, which “today cause great damage to society, make it difficult to investigate crimes and represent a threat to national security.” The improvement of these technologies will lead to the fact that falsifications will fill an important part of the media space, so “it will be impossible to distinguish the truth from lies,” said the head of the Russian Orthodox Church.
