According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the attackers create Internet networks, whose names resemble free Wi-Fi points in public places. “For example, at Sheremetyevo airport, an access point with the name SVO_Free worked,” said the ministry.

After connecting to this network, the user is offered to authorize the authorization through Telegram. To do this, the victim is asked to send a special code that comes through SMS at the Service Bota. After receiving it, the attackers can enter freely into the telegram account of another person.

The administration of Sheremetyevo commented on the declaration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Telegram, urging passengers to use only the official Network of Official Wi-Fi and not connect to networks with other names. “The official free network does not request when connecting your personal data, authorization through Telegram, messengers,” public services “, etc.” emphasized the airport.

Previously, the Central Bank opened the fraudulent scheme using virtual card images. The scammers convince the victim to establish the “Central Bank” and transfer to him the data of the NFC chip on a bank card. After the attackers create an image of a letter with which they can withdraw money at ATMs.
