First, scammers are often called a fixed phone, usually retired and sent by employees of law enforcement officers. They try to scare, threaten a person, or to scare money forcibly. If the interlocutor interrupts the conversation, a new call will come after a while – now the so -called real police. He reports that criminals were established, observed and presented to “help to be detained”.

The victim was convinced to transfer money to the courier or to transfer funds to a “safe account .. Despite the simplicity of the scheme, it usually works. People, especially the elderly, may not suspect a capture and may be a victim of fraudsters.

According to the State Duma Deputy Anton Nemkin, such plans are becoming increasingly difficult and their number is increasing. The first purpose of criminals is to cause a person to be afraid, panicked and force him to move according to emotions. Later, a “law enforcement representative” or “bank employee en, which makes a so -called safe decision, enters the business world – money transfer.

According to data, approximately 17% of all cyber criminals are associated with the elderly. They rely on more than other age groups, and the scammers are actively using it.

In 2025, the Russian government will present a package to combat telephone and internet networks. It will include approximately 30 initiatives that should significantly reduce the number of such crimes. However, the most important thing is the digital literacy of citizens. The better people understand how scammers work, the more difficult it would be to deceive.
