The OOKLA analytical company updated the qualification of countries with the highest internet speed. According to the results of January, the EAU became the leader in mobile internet speed, and also uploaded the second line in the list of countries with the fastest fixed broadband Internet.

According to the study, the speed of mobile traffic in the EAU is 546 mbit/s. In the state capital, Abu Dhabi, the average load speed is 597.7 Mbps.

Catar (521.5 Mbps) and Kuwait (314 Mbps) also reached the three main countries with the highest mobile internet speed. At the same time, the average mobile internet speed in the world increased by 58% during the year, from 53.22 Mbps to 91.24 mbit/s.

Russia with an indicator of 36 Mbps is in the ranking in the 87th place between Egypt (38.9) and Sri Lanka (35.5).

However, in the list of countries with the fastest broadband Internet, Russia is in line 67 (90 Mbps), between Serbia (90.4) and Bahrein (87.3).

The fastest fixed broadband Internet is found in Singapore (336.5 Mbps/s). The second place in the classification is occupied by the EAU (310 Mbps), which was ahead of the Hong Kong (305.7 Mbps) ahead of China (305.7 Mbps).
