The EU authorities have published a list of 13 financial organizations that will be disconnected from the SWIFT payment system since March 17. This measure was introduced as part of the 16th package of sanctions adopted on February 24.

According to the document, in Swift’s spring, AK Bars Bank credit organizations, Uralsib, Point, National Reserva Bank, Rosexbank, Sínara, Promosotsbank, Bbr-Bank, KuznetskubusinessBank will disconnect. “
In addition, the “Petersburg Liquidation Center” (PRC) and the “Payment Designer” of Rnko are subject to Swift’s disconnection. The PRC opens and maintains bank accounts of legal entities, transfers in its name and also carries out the sale of foreign currency. The “Payment Designer” accepts payments and provides payment services, including legal entities.
What do banks say? The “point” said that the closure of the Swift Bank would not affect the possibility of transaction payments. “Payments for” points “customers are available without this system. Now all cross payments take place through alternative channels and, mainly in national currencies,” said the bank. They added that customers can carry out their calculations with alternative methods of foreign counterparts through foreign jurisdictions.
Uralsib also confirmed that Swift’s closure will not affect the bank’s work. “Another sanctions package will have no effect on the bank’s work. All services, offices and ATMs of Uralsib work regularly without restrictions,” says the credit institution.
