Project details. The loads that weigh up to 50 kg will be delivered by drones through the Amur River. An experimental legal regime for the simplification of procedures in the territory of Blagoveshchensk will be introduced. The beginning of the experiment, the list of goods and the budget is not specified: the project is in the study stage with the government of the region.

Sheikin emphasized the advantages of the location, pointing out a unique geographical position and the minimum distance between the river banks. “Such transport will not only optimize logistics processes, but will also open new opportunities for economic cooperation between Russia and China,” said the official.

What are the problems? The director of the Department of Digital Development and the economy of the Ministry of Economic Development, Vladimir Voloshin, said that the implementation of the project is necessary to “synchronize the legislation of the two countries and find unique legal mechanisms that make the delivery process between the two countries and safe and effective.”

The experience of previous experiments. The Ministry of Economic Development reported that in 24 regions of Russia there are already 10 experimental modes to test drones with the participation of 144 companies, but its results are ambiguous. For example, the post -Russian project for delivery to remote areas (Kamchatka, Chukotka and others) for three years did not achieve objectives, and the cost of transporting 1 kg of load in the drone in the Arctic was 152 times higher than the regular flight.
