Looking ahead to next year, the new Porsche Taycan will be here to introduce the latest EV releases with a focus on some important new features.

Some of the most striking are those relating to the incredible increase in autonomy, faster charging and updated infotainment features. Let’s go in parts.

As for autonomy, Porsche tells us what to expect which increases by about 50 kilometers in the WLTP cycle. The automaker does not yet have an estimate of how this will affect the EPA rating.

On the other hand, the fastest charging. The brand has optimized thermal management so that the battery can charge longer at a maximum power of 270kW. They say the Taycan will get Fast DC charging from 5% to 80% in less than 23 minutes.

Drivers of this vehicle will also be able to choose depending on the power they want when looking for a charging station. it must facilitate the search for fast stations 270 kw and don’t waste hours on the relatively slow but more frequent 50kW sockets.

Another major change is the on-screen infotainment system. In addition to being faster and more efficient, Porsche Communication Management has received a cosmetic update to the home screen, tweaks to the entire user interface and a redesigned head-up display.

It also adds new settings for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, allowing you to both work wirelessly.

One of the highlights of this announcement is that software updates will come to all versions, thanks to the concept of “OTA updates”.

Porsche’s goal for 2030 is to convert its production to 80% electric vehicles by the beginning of the next decade, in line with the global plans of all companies for the final transition to clean energy.
