Last year, Avride began a long -term certification process in Japan, and now, after its completion, the company begins commercial operations in the country. In the first stage, 10 robots are planned to launch, but in the future its number can increase, writes Techcrunch.
Other projects. In October, Avride signed a long -term contract with the American Uber, which covers robots and unmanned cars. The company’s robots are already used to deliver food through the Uber Eats service in Austin, Dallas and Jersey City. The launch of Avride not manned on the Uber platform is expected at the end of 2025 in Dallas.
In addition, 100 Avride robots are currently involved in the United States for delivery to the University of Ohio thanks to the association with the American company Grubhub. In addition, the Startup Volozha is developing a small delivery project in Seoul.
- Avride belongs to the Nebius group (previously called Yandex NV), which is headed by Volozh. This is the old Yandex maternal company, which last summer sold Russian assets to the investor consortium. Nebius left Yandex’s shareholders, retaining international businesses.
