For the first time, Russian researchers examined the characteristics of the Polxamer 188, which was used to produce blood substitutes, including a perfan, in detail. This polymer serves as an emulsion and stabilizer, and unique features have long been interesting among experts. According to scientists, work will help to make artificial blood substitutes more stable and safe.

The group, led by Maria Timchenko of the theoretical and experimental biophysics Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, examined how heating, sterilization and other conditions affect the characteristics of polyoxaramia. They used advanced analysis methods, including atomic blue microscopy and jamr-spinctroscopy. Researchers have found that parameters such as temperature, pressure and salt concentration directly affect the stability and chemical composition of the solution.

The data obtained will improve the production of blood substitutes and make them more effective and minimize possible side effects. Plaxamer 188 is not only used in perforated, but also in other medical products, so its improved properties will have a positive effect on the pharmaceutical industry as a whole.
