The Indian Telecommunications Minister Joytiravitia Scyndia confirmed that SpaceX should fulfill certain requirements before starting services in the country, including establishing network gates and recording user terminals on -site.
Various Indian agencies, including the introduction and authorization center of the Indian Telecommunication Control Department (TRAI) and Indian national space activities (in -field), are involved in the licensing process and evaluate Starlink’s correspondence by Starlink by the technical, administrative and national security standards of India. In general, solid standards in the country are in force.
Important requirements are the registration of user terminals and the usability of local network passages in the country. As soon as all conditions are met, the license is expected to be given in the near future.
