International scientists, including Togliatti State University experts, developed artificial intelligence for the diagnosis of chronic obstructive disease (COPD) of the lungs (COPD) in the early stages. The program analyzes pictures of cough and IT lungs that give a diagnosis with 99.97%accuracy. This important success helps to determine COPD at the earliest stages, which is critical to prevent serious consequences.

Cobble is one of the most common diseases of the respiratory system, which is the leading cause of mortality in Russia. The disease develops slowly and does not occur with bright symptoms that make it difficult to diagnose in the early stages. Scientists emphasize the importance of early detection of the disease in order to start timely treatment.

Developed in TSU AI, Bulanık uses various data sources such as cough for correct diagnosis, analysis of the work of the lungs and CT screening. The system uses machine learning algorithms that combine information and also produce conclusions about the presence of COPD and also evaluate the possibility of further development. In the future, scientists plan to expand the possibilities of the program, including the diagnosis of asthma, to predict heart disease and to predict the patient’s clinical data.
