On August 9, MTS established the Serenity Siber Security company to develop and promote innovative products in the field of information security (IS), Vedomosti writes.
According to MTS, now the demand for information security products is growing in the market: there are more threats, and foreign vendors and vendors are leaving the market.
“In the initial stage, the company will develop and sell to the external market the SOC services already developed and used by MTS within the group. By the end of 2023, it is planned to bring new products to the market,” said a company representative.
Evgenia Naumova, who held the position of director of cybersecurity at MTS, has become the CEO of the new LLC. Previously, she was Executive Vice President of Corporate Business at Kaspersky Lab.
MTS will also strengthen the Serenity Cyber Security team with a My Office native (software developer). A source from Vedomosti said that the commercial director of My Office, Elena Nepochatova, will move to the new structure of MTS.
