Traditional chemical missiles require about one year to obtain Mars, but Sunbird uses a thermonuclear reaction that combines the deterine and helium-3 to create a powerful plasma that provides a longing for electricity up to 2 MW for tasks.

Sunbird is a cosmic “tugboat” that will wait for orbit ships like city bikes at stations. After the placement, it reduces fuel needs by 50%by accelerating them to a speed of 500,000 km/h. The motor operates in the anenetron thermal unit, which produces less neutron and more controlled protons, making it more effective than traditional ion motors.

Founded in 2013, Pulsar Fusion has already received support for the British space agency. The company plans to demonstrate technologies in 2025 and orbit in 2027.
