Operators are asked not to introduce large fines for violating the “grey SIM cards”. They are welcomed by the Ministry of Digital Development.
Corresponding letter July 1 Rostelecom, MTS, MegaFon, Tele2 and beeline presence to the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on State Construction Pavel Krasheninnikov. They ask for a revision of the amendments to the Code on the Definition of Offenses, which provide for penalties for violation of the law.
The amendments were introduced back in May 2017 and adopted on first reading in October 2021. They are planned in the second reading.
Recall that the amendments to the law “On Communications”, regulating the turnover of “gray” SIM-cards, oblige to register user data in the Unified Identification and Authentication System (ESIA) at the State Services.
