Scientists of Mtusi’s television and audio broadcasting have found a way to significantly reduce the volume of high quality sound recordings without losing their quality. The problem of storage of fundograms with 24 and 32 bit discharge used in professional records is associated with large dimensions. Even the usual 16 -bit display is insufficient to work with real dynamic sound intervals. Studies have shown that with such a little deterioration, especially for the listener, especially at small signal levels.

The decision was proposed by OB Popov and employees of TV Chernysheva. They developed an algorithm for non-storage information processing, allowing you to compress the dynamic signal range up to 10-15 dB. This makes it possible to transmit the sound correctly even when using a standard 16 -bit format. In addition, this method allows you to obtain comparable quality comparable with a 32 -bit signal and even reduce discharge until 12th without the losses for the listener.

The effectiveness of the new approach has been confirmed by objective and subjective tests. The results show that the recommended algorithm reduces the amount of data while maintaining high sound quality. This opens new opportunities to optimize the storage and transfer of phonograms in professional recording.
