The openness was made at the two -dimensional iodide nickel (NII₂) crystal, in which scientists reveal a unique electron spin structure: the mirror was built in symmetrical spirals.

Such a configuration allows the electric field to change the rotation – the switch element of the spintronics where the information is transmitted to the direction of the electron, not by charging. This allows you to significantly reduce energy consumption and heat production while transmitting and storing data.

Although the effect of the P wave is recorded only at a temperature of approximately 60 k (−213 ° C), scientists are sure: by finding the right material running at room temperature, it will be possible to create a new generation of memory and processors that are deprived of consuming and consuming thousands of times less energy.
