The court interpreted this as a repeated violation. The amount of the fine is stated to be 10% of Google’s annual income in the Russian Federation. The company was found guilty under Part 5 of Art. 13.41 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (repeated violation of the procedure for restricting access to materials containing prohibited information).

Banned include “false information about the course of a special military operation in Ukraine, discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation; instructions for the manufacture of explosives, as well as materials that spread extremist views and the ideology of terrorist organizations.
