Five games attended the tests: Returnal, Borderlands 3, Cyberpunk 2077, HomeWorld 3 and Doom: Dark Ages. Microsoft’s operating system was tested with both Lenovo drivers and Asus package.
The games were released in two modes: high graphics settings with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 resolution and low – 1200 × 800.
The results turned out to be unexpected: Steamos was almost everywhere in Windows 11. Even when using more optimized ASUS drivers, the Microsoft system was lower than 4-36% under most headings.
The only exception was Borderlands 3, which worked equally on both platforms. Experts say that Linux Steamos has become an increasingly mature Windows alternative in the field of performance and stability in the portable playground.
