Previously, a message appeared in the Chinese version of the Firefox website about the termination of the main organization in Beijing and the closure of local accounts. However, the notification was later deleted.
Despite the closure of the office, the Firefox browser itself will remain accessible by Chinese users. One of the Mozilla employees published instructions in the Chinese forum and explained how to save data and settings, so that it was possible to restore the work of the browser in the future.
Attempts to get comments from Beijing failed – the specified E -Posta address was invalid and nobody responded by phone. The media representative who visited the office said that the room appeared closed.
