The developers explained that one out of every eight people has veins that are hard to reach. This problem occurs in people with diabetes, obesity, anatomical features, and people receiving infusion therapy. The new CyberVein vein visualizer is designed for them.

The device scans the surface of the skin from a distance of about 30 centimeters and then reflects back the embroidered pattern. A vascular network becomes visible on the skin. CyberVein has two infrared cameras. Based on the data from them, the visualizer software recommends the most suitable puncture points.
