Scientists say that vitamin B6 in the form of dietary supplements can improve mental health. This is stated in an article published in the scientific journal Human Psychopharmacology: Clinical and Experimental.

More than 300 volunteers participated in the new study. All took large amounts with food (one dose – 50 times the daily requirement) or B6 supplements or B12 supplements or placebo. The experiment lasted a month.

Of the two vitamins, vitamin B6 was found to have a strong effect on the condition of the participants. True, compared with special preparations, this vitamin did not reduce anxiety that much. However, it can still be taken to improve mood.
