The catalyst works effectively in the process of carbon dioxide methane conversion by converting greenhouse gases into healthy products. During tests at 800 degrees Celsius temperature, it was possible to obtain minimum carbon deposits – only 1% in the 200 -hour continuous study.
Development is particularly important to solve environmental problems associated with greenhouse gas emissions. The resulting synthesis gas can be used for the production of methanol, dimethyl ether and liquid hydrocarbons.
The study was supported by the participation of the Ministry of Education and Science of 2030 with the participation of Sevastopol State University and New Lisbon University experts.
Scientists plan to optimize the catalyst composition to obtain ideal hydrogen and carbon monoxide in synthesis gas. This will simplify the dimethyl ether production process.
