The method is based on the analysis of the signals of the light electoretinogram – non -invasive functional test. The algorithm classifies temporary rows and distinguishes the important areas of the signal to show the presence of diseases. This allows doctors to understand the logic of the system and decide the need for additional examination.

Development is different to using simpler information processing methods than previous approaches, making it more accessible to medical institutions. Algorithms work faster than nervous networks and require less powerful equipment.

Technology was tested on a data collected by an international group of scientists under the leadership of University Professor Flinders Paul Constable. In the future, researchers plan to conclude the method for the diagnosis of other diseases, including gloköz and congenital chicken blindness.
