The upper chip will receive 86 cores and 172 flows, which will directly compete to the AMD Threadripper 9000.
The Intel 0000 index has already burned in the OpenBenchmarking database. It works at 2.1 GHz frequency and tested with 512 GB DDR5 and RTX 3090 graphics card. Support is expected to have DDR5-8000, 88 PCIe Gen5 line and Kesha up to 336 MB.
However, AMD maintains the advantage of the number of “pure” nuclei by Intel up to 96 against 86. Threadripper also has more PCIe line and cache memory, but energy consumption can be compared to 350 Watts.
The Intel W890 platform will receive two levels: “Main Stream” and 8 -channel DDR5 and 128 lines “expert ile with 4 -channel memory and 80 PCIe line.
The new LGA 4710 socket requires a complete replacement of the platform, while Threadripper owners will be able to renew painlessly. Granit Rapids-WS’s premiere is expected in 2025.
