Mishustin stated this at the plenary session of the Russian agro-industrial exhibition “Golden Autumn”. According to Mishustin, artificial intelligence is already actively used in agriculture. This technology supports autonomous control of agricultural machinery, including autonomous harvesters and tractors. It also monitors processes in processing plants, monitors the health of plants and animals and ensures compliance with hygiene standards in the food industry. All this helps reduce costs and increase farmer productivity.
The Prime Minister particularly drew attention to the importance of using domestic software solutions in bringing innovations in agriculture. According to their estimates, at least 80% of Russian organizations will switch to such solutions in the next four years.
Mishustin concluded by saying that these changes will strengthen food security and form the basis for further growth in the agricultural sector.
The Prime Minister said, “The use of artificial intelligence in crop production, animal husbandry and the food industry is developing… Its use will make it possible to control agricultural machinery autonomously by bringing unmanned harvesters and tractors to the fields. It will monitor how the process works in processing plants. It will monitor the condition of plants and animals… It will also monitor the hygiene standards in the food sector. As a result, farmers will be able to reduce costs and increase efficiency.” he emphasized.
