Some lawyers’ email accounts were hacked, but the firm said no confidential client data was stolen. The law firm has already taken steps to block the threat and said it did not detect any unauthorized traffic on the network. The source of the attacks has not yet been officially confirmed.

The FBI and the Chinese Embassy in Washington had no immediate comment. The media writes that the investigation is ongoing and the aim is to determine the source of the attacks and assess their scale.
