The card was introduced at Bilibili World 2025 in Shanghai and is worth around $500,000.

The project started as a joke commission but eventually turned into one of the most ambitious modding projects. All elements, including the case, backplate and bezel, were cast, polished and assembled by hand.

The final weight of the device was 7.56 kg, of which approximately 5 kg was gold.

Before the auction, the card was purchased by a private collector and part of the proceeds will be donated to charity to support education in rural China.

Previously, Asus had released the “gold” version of the RTX 5090 Dhahab Edition but it contained only 6.5 grams of gold and cost around $700.
