According to Mark Gurman, the company is preparing an H3 chip that will provide lower latency, improved sound quality and more effective noise reduction.
Presumably new headphones like the AirPods 5 and AirPods Pro 4 will replace the current models and feature not only updated hardware but also built-in cameras.
The sensors will be able to collect data for Apple Intelligence, as well as offer new augmented reality capabilities by interacting with iPhone and Vision Pro.
Rumor has it that the cameras will not be used for photography, but for spatial tracking and movement control. However, Apple has no plans to offer health features yet.
The main emphasis is on sound quality and integration with artificial intelligence, and the official announcement is expected in 2026.
