Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman shared new information about future Apple gadgets.

The company is preparing to release a “home hub” with headphones, which could be released in 2026. The device will become part of the ecosystem of the entire smart home and will allow you to control equipment via HomeKit.

The hub will have a touch display measuring about 7 inches, a FaceTime camera and user support. The interface will adapt to each family member. Cupertino residents are planning two versions of the device: wall-mounted and desktop. The second one looks like an enlarged HomePod mini with a speaker at the base.

The preliminary price is about $350, which is noticeably higher than the cost of analogues such as the Amazon Echo Show. However, the company is considering options to reduce costs to make the new product more affordable.

The previous launch was scheduled for March 2025, but the project was postponed due to the development of a new version of Siri. Now the release will be in 2026.

The new hub is produced by BYD in Vietnam. This is part of Apple’s strategy to diversify production: some iPad, AirPods, Apple Watch and Mac models are already being assembled.
