The installation of equipment weighing more than 100 kilograms is planned to be done on October 16. The studies will be carried out during the spacewalk by Roscosmos cosmonauts. An ERA robotic manipulator will be used to move the heavy complex to the installation site.
The Screen-M setup will enable the production of ultra-precise semiconductor materials in zero gravity conditions. This process is known as molecular beam epitaxy.
Earlier, the state agency Roscosmos announced the successful completion of fire tests of the correction system for the Express-AMU4 spacecraft. The tests were carried out in a horizontal vacuum chamber of the Reshetnev company, where operating conditions in orbit were recreated.
