It will expand production of the internal combustion engine Jeep Cherokee and Jeep Compass for the US market, including the introduction of a four-cylinder engine and the reopening of the Belvidere Assembly Plant in Illinois.

Unlike previous cash injections, this year’s focus is on conventional powertrains rather than electric ones; However, there are also some models available, such as an extended-range electric vehicle equipped with a battery and gas generator for longer range, which will be produced at the Warren Truck factory in Michigan starting in 2028. The Warren plant will also produce a new gas-powered large SUV.
