The helmet will run on Android XR, a new mixed reality platform created in partnership with Google and Qualcomm. Samsung says the platform scales across different form factors and uses artificial intelligence. According to the company, Project Moohan will be the first device to run the open version of Android XR.
Samsung’s presentation will take place amid rumors of a new version of the Apple Vision Pro with a faster processor. At the same time, Apple has reportedly suspended work on the lightweight version of Vision Pro to focus on the next generation of smart glasses.
