If your Alexa speaker isn’t working, the platform you use for work doesn’t load correctly, you can’t make purchases on Amazon, or you can’t access the website, it’s not your internet connection. Amazon Web Services (AWS) has stopped working worldwidecausing thousands of websites and platforms using their services to stop working correctly.
Amazon Web Services is a cloud computing platform used by hundreds of companies to run applications and websites as Amazon offers infrastructure and tools over the Internet. If it stops working, many websites and applications that use AWS will also stop working, and that’s exactly what started happening this morning.
On portals such as DowndetectorUsers began reporting Amazon Web Services outages around 9:00 a.m. (Spain), after which the number of complaints peaked within a few hours. Amazon itself has already confirmed a global outage in AWS.
“We can confirm an increase in error rates and latency for several AWS services in the US-EAST-1 region. This issue may also affect the creation of cases through the Amazon Web Services Help Center or Support API. We are actively involved and working to resolve the issue and understand the root cause. We will provide an update within 45 minutes, or sooner if we have additional information to share.” Amazon mentioned after the first messages.

Websites are gradually regaining their normalcy due to the fall of Amazon Web Services.
After several hours of initial outage affecting a large number of websites, applications and even games such as Fortnite, Amazon Web Services. Now it works fine again. albeit slowly and gradually. At the time of writing, the company confirmed that there were “significant signs of recovery.”
However, they caution that they are continuing to work on requests for websites and apps that are still not working.
Some websites may still not work, or you may notice that some applications take longer to load than usual. Service will be restored in the next few hours.
In development…
