According to Korean sources, all models of the Galaxy S26 series (including the S26 Ultra) will be released with only Exynos 2600, without a single version on the Qualcomm processor.
It was previously assumed that the base Galaxy S26 and S26 Pro would get Exynos, while the Ultra would retain the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. However, new information confirms the opposite: the high-end flagship will also run on Exynos.
This will be the first time in four years that the older Galaxy model completely abandons Qualcomm solutions.
Samsung’s internal tests show impressive results; The Exynos 2600 shows up to a 15% increase in CPU performance and a 75% increase in GPU performance compared to the previous generation, and is also around 30% ahead of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in AI processing.
The company has made improvements, especially thanks to a separate modem that increases CPU and GPU space.
However, experts state that Samsung has not yet been able to convince fans who have traditionally been skeptical of Exynos chips.
