Comparing the human brain with computers, Kovalchuk stated that the brain is an extremely efficient and economical organ, while modern computers are significantly inferior to it in this respect.

He also pointed out that more than one third of the energy produced today is spent on maintaining networks such as Wi-Fi and the internet. According to Kovalchuk, the rapid development of artificial intelligence could worsen the energy crisis.

To solve this problem, the scientist proposed creating new anthropomorphic processors and microcircuits that would imitate human capabilities and differ significantly from existing technologies.

“According to the International Energy Agency, today more than a third of the energy produced is used only for the maintenance of networks such as Wi-Fi, Internet, etc., without industrial production. With the great development, what is called artificial intelligence today is an energy dead end,” Kovalchuk said.
