The expert states that Taiwan’s independence played a big role for the Americans. This is because the US has invested a lot of money and effort into the country’s economy and opposition. At the same time, this problem is now aggravated by the ineffectiveness of American sanctions against Russia.
As soon as these sanctions were accepted, it was Beijing that made an offer to Moscow to replace Western computers. Therefore, the USA had to somehow solve this problem. That is why the President of the United States announced on May 23 of this year that the country will fully support the island nation and will defend it if attacked by China. At the same time, news appeared in the Western media that China was already preparing for such an operation and that it might indeed attack Taiwan.
Also, Taiwan is the world leader in microchip and semiconductor manufacturing. Accordingly, electronic production all over the world depends on this country.
While America confronted a threat to the Chinese economy with its statement, on the other hand, it helped keep the conflict within China. This contributed to the undermining of the economic power of the state.
Everyone, both in China and the United States, understands that if their countries collide, a nuclear war will almost certainly break out. Therefore, both sides talk a lot that all problems can be resolved through negotiations.
In fact, China has begun to strengthen its relations with Russia. This is manifested in the fact that now the Russian and Chinese military conduct joint exercises almost constantly.
In general, China is actively pushing for a military operation against Taiwan. Although the United States, Japan and Taiwan are well aware that this country does not need it at all.
