Instagram is running out of ideas and in addition to copying TikTok, it has also decided to do the same with apps that were created to try and stop the Meta platform. BeReal, which promises to reveal the reality of every person on the Internet, is one of them. How did you do that? Take photos with the front and rear cameras at the same time. This way you won’t be able to hide anything even if you wanted to.

BeReal also encourages you to take a photo in just a couple of minutes and at any time of the day. Namely, you don’t have hours to plan, pose and get a good look at your surroundings, and you never know when you’ll be able to take your next photo. It’s just you, how you see yourself at any time of the day.

If you didn’t know about this app, know that it has become the new social network for Generation Z. In the week of July 11, it reported 1.7 million installs. In fact, if you go to the iOS App Store, you can find it in first place in the “Best Free Apps” section, and Instagram in sixth place.

Instagram wants you to be real, but not real

Now Instagram has decided to copy this important BeReal feature. However, he does not do this to urge his users to be “more real”. No, that doesn’t seem to be the idea, or at least it doesn’t seem that way at the moment.

In the case of the Meta social network, the integration is called Dual. Just open the Instagram app on your mobile phone and try to open the camera. Below the toolbar on the left side of the screen you will see a new function with this name.

When you activate it, Instagram will show exactly the same interface as BeReal. Shows a small photo of your face in the top corner and what your rear camera sees in the larger area. The views are of course reversible and you can have your face fill the screen and your surroundings only show in a small frame.

However, unlike BeReal, this feature can be used at any time. Fortunately for the growing social network, Instagram does not encourage its users to take photos at random times and with a window of just two minutes. This is the feature with which you can just show two things at the same time.

If you still don’t see this feature, please wait a bit. Although Instagram displays these options for all users, some users may experience some delay.
