Federal Data Processing Service Serpro has announced its newest biometric solution, fully integrated into Android and iOS platforms. The tool is a new version of Biovalid, an “online authentication ecosystem using biometric authentication by mobile phone camera” launched in 2020.

Among the innovations is the availability of BioConnect, the functionality integration component of Biovalid for the iOS platform. This feature is responsible for integrating proof-of-life layers (life) and selfie capture for biometric verification in one app.

Another new feature islife passive” was developed to facilitate facial recognition for people with technology difficulties. Previously, recognition required a series of movements and expressions to make sure the person was really there, while the new model simply asks the person to look at the camera in a natural way – theoretically providing the same level of security.

According to Serpro, the solution is ideal for companies that offer online services such as internet transactions and can be fully integrated into your application. Biovalid’s technology uses the National Traffic Department’s (Senatran) database to perform the instant facial recognition procedure.

Available on two main app platforms, Android and iOS, BioConnect also provides a free app that can be embedded if the company doesn’t want to develop its own app.
