MTS complained about MegaFon to the FAS because of the advertising slogan “operator No. 1”

MTS complained about MegaFon to the FAS because of the slogan “operator No. 1” in an advertising campaign that started in early July. The operators did not comment on the complaint.

MegaFon’s billboards prescribe the call to “Go to operator number 1”, and below in small print it is indicated that this is a criterion “by speed and coverage”, confirmed by research.

The Advertising Law regulates the use of words with the meanings “best”, “first” and “number one”. If MegaFon is found guilty of violating the law, it may face a fine of up to 500 thousand rubles.
