The requirements of the law provided for the need to open a representative office or legal entity, post an electronic form for Russian citizens on information resources, and register a personal account on the Roskomnadzor website.
The company also complied with the requirements of the legislation on the localization of personal data, “ensuring the storage and processing of personal data of Russian citizens on the territory of the Russian Federation.”
Companies with a daily audience of 500,000 or more Russian users that receive money from Russian users, distribute advertising and information in Russian, and process information about users in Russia are subject to the requirements of the “landing” law.
Apple implemented the first Russian law on “landing” in early February 2022.
