Several Galaxy S22 users are reporting issues with adaptive screen refresh rate and apps like Amazon Prime and Netflix. The crux of the problem is that a smartphone’s adaptive display switches to a lower refresh rate after a short period of inactivity, even while streaming content. This means that the system does not detect that a video is playing on Netflix and Amazon Prime (and possibly other apps). Unfortunately, this causes video freezes.

The problem is software in nature so it can most likely be fixed with a firmware update.
