At the end of March, we saw that video card prices decreased by more than 10 percent compared to the previous month. This downward trend seems to have continued over the past few weeks: it’s time for a new overview!
In this post, we dive into the Product Comparator to compare the average price of the five cheapest models of each GPU with the original suggested retail price and the average price from a month ago.
We’ll start with Nvidia’s RTX 3000 series, with the RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3060 Ti showing the strongest declines (-14 and -13%) since late March. At the other end of the spectrum are the RTX 3050, 3070 Ti and 3090. Video cards with these GPUs have become 4.6 percent and 5 percent cheaper, respectively. Prices dropped an average of 9.5% across the entire amp lineup.

AMD’s RX 6000 cards fell more (-10.8%) on average than their competitors, thanks to two strong outliers: the RX 6500 XT is 21.3% cheaper than last month, but this comparison is based on the price of the only model currently on the market. time (309 euros). In addition to the RDNA 2 boarding pass, the RX 6900 XT has also become 17.2% cheaper.
The price of the RX 6800 and RX 6800 XT has dropped by 8 percent and 8.4 percent, while the XT variant is only 50 euros more expensive on average than its smaller sibling. Both these GPUs deviate the most from the suggested retail price of +74.1 and +63.7%, respectively. The RX 6700 XT is currently 42% more expensive, while other cards cost a maximum of 27.7% more. The RX 6500 XT is about thirty years more expensive, or 13.2% more than the suggested retail price.
As with last month, the graphics cards of both the green and red teams got a little cheaper again. If this downward trend continues, it won’t be long before these cards are purchased at the suggested retail price. Whether this will actually be the case will have to become clear in the coming months.
