The letter “Z” used in their names symbolized their ability to be folded thanks to their flexible screen.

But as is known, the Korean IT giant has decided to abandon such a naming. According to insider SnoopyTech, Samsung’s new foldable smartphones will come without the letter “Z” in their name.

The reason for this is that it is also used by Russian troops to refer to military equipment, and the company reportedly does not want its products to be associated in any way with the situation in Ukraine.

Recall that the announcement of the new Samsung Galaxy Fold and Flip is expected on August 10 as part of the Galaxy Unpacked presentation.
