That’s why a recent study by experts from the University of Leeds found that at least vegetarian women face a 33% increased risk of hip fracture.

They came to this conclusion after analyzing data from more than 26,000 women aged 35 to 69 from England. All followed a vegetarian diet. It is worth noting that the observation process took a long time – about 20 years.

During this time, 822 patients suffered hip fractures. After that, the statistics were supplemented by smoking and age factors. But despite this, it has become the only group among vegetarians, pescatarians, and meat-eaters to increase the chances of breaking a bone.
