A Moscow court fined the messenger Telegram, the video streaming service Twitch and the independent service Freelancer.com for a total of 13.5 million rubles.

Telegram, Twitch and Freelancer were fined 13.5 million rubles in Russia

  • Telegram received two fines: the first, of 4 million rubles, was imposed for refusing to erase the personal data of Russian servicemen involved in a special operation in Ukraine. The second, for 7 million rubles, for refusing to withdraw instructions to carry out sabotage in rail transport.
  • Twitch was fined 2 million rubles for posting a video about Bucha.
  • Freelancer.com was fined 500 thousand rubles for refusing to locate the personal data of Russians.

In late June, Twitch, Pinterest, and Airbnb were fined for refusing to locate the Russians’ data. For each of these companies, the fine amounted to 2 million rubles.
