Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree on new soft loans for small and medium-sized enterprises. SMEs will be able to take preferential loans for the restructuring and development of production at rates of 4.5% and 3% per year, respectively. This was reported on the Cabinet website.
Current interest rates are relevant to the current rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation (currently 8% per annum).
The money received can be spent on the purchase of equipment, the overhaul of production facilities or the launch of new industries.
The government’s priority for issuing such loans is a company operating in the field of agricultural processing, logistics and hotel business.
The preferential program will be valid for three years, while the loan can be taken for 10 years. The authorities expect that by the end of 2022 the volume of issued loans will be about 50 billion rubles.
